British American Tobacco is a company that operates in more than 180 countries around the world. The team has more than 45,000 employees. The brand ranks first in terms of net sales among manufacturers of nicotine-containing products. BAT is also actively implementing innovations and technologies to increase the efficiency and safety of its processes. As for the digitalization of business, it is an integral part of the development strategy.
An international company requested the development of an e-commerce project. BAT seeks to expand its digital capabilities for interacting with its audience. The task was to create a secure and reliable system. It had to be more than just an online platform for adult users. We had to create a space where the community could easily interact with the brand. The modern e-commerce product we built had to allow users to quickly confirm their age, receive personalized access, and comfortably use the features.

We created a global e-commerce solution for BAT that brought together users from over 180 countries.
Our approach:
This large-scale case required deep immersion at the Discovery stage. It had to become a solid foundation for the entire product. We worked out the goals, expectations, and scenarios in detail. We wanted to immediately construct a clear vision for the development of the e-commerce solution for several years ahead. While working on the project, our team tried to think strategically but act flexibly. We quickly moved on to UX/UI and layout immediately after agreeing on the concept. We did not search for a platform due to BAT’s corporate standards, so we actively began working on building a large-scale, strong, and high-quality project.
Together with the client, we managed to turn the idea into an exceptional e-commerce product. The case immediately became a reliable channel for interacting with customers. The created platform combines technology, functionality, and loyalty.
